


Braidwood is a National Trust classified town founded in 1836 and still has numerous historic buildings.
It has an abundance of cafes, restaurants and boutique country shopping specialising in local arts, crafts and antiques. The town has two supermarkets, newsagent, bank with ATM and Post Office, Hospital and Emergency Services. There is also a Saturday farmer's market stocking local produce.
Just a few minutes from the centre of the town is a golf course, bowls, squash courts at the Serviceman's Club.
The town is surrounded by National Parks and forests.The area is renowned for trout fishing, bush walking and gold panning in the rivers, which are also good for swimming in the summer.
