Bedervale is one of the most interesting
colonial homesteads of Southern New South Wales.
Bedervale is
a working, grazing property with scenic views to the town of Braidwood,
Mount Jillamatong and the coastal range.
Your hosts are Margaret and Roger Royds and family
Margaret was awarded ORDER of AUSTRALIA MEDAL (OAM)
in the GENERAL DIVISION in the Australia Day 2006 Honours
For service to the community of Braidwood, particularly
through the preservation of historic properties and the promotion of tourism.
While you are staying
at Bedervale there are lots of things to see and do.
- A tour of the historic
home is a must.
- There is a tennis
court in the homestead garden and a children's play area.
- Children are welcome
to visit the Chooks Palace and see the animals being fed.
- Visitors may also
view any current farm activity on this large sheep and cattle property.
There are plenty of enjoyable walks around the farm and one can wander
along the creek amongst the willows and the native birds.
